Jared Goff Leads Detroit Lions to First Playoff Victory
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has led the team to its first playoff victory since 2014.
The Lions defeated the Los Angeles Rams 20-13 in the Wild Card round, with Goff completing 20 of 34 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown.
Goff came to Detroit after spending the first five seasons of his career with the Rams, who selected him with the first overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Lions in 2021.
Goff has been a key part of the Lions' resurgence this season, helping the team finish 9-8 and secure a Wild Card berth. He has thrown for 4,438 yards and 29 touchdowns this season.
The Lions will now face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
