In 2024, the United Kingdom will mark the 80th anniversary of the momentous Normandy Landings on 6 June 1944. From Wednesday, 5th June to Thursday, 6th June 2024, the King and Queen, accompanied by other members of the Royal Family, will lead a series of commemorative events to honor the fallen.

Five Noteworthy Events in London

The commemorations in London will include several significant events:

1. National Service of Remembrance
